  • Objective of the Project

    The Project aims at raising the income and improving the lifestyle of vulnerable groups, especially in the Far North region through an access to sustainable proximity training services, self-employment, counselling-support, financial intermediation and by establishing self-managed socio-economic infrastructure. Its execution spans over 5 years. It includes six components: Putting up a poverty monitoring-evaluation mechanism Support fund to economic activities. Infrastructure (rural roads and micro-community infrastructure) Promoting local micro and small-sized enterprises and female self-employment capacity building of the execution partners putting up the Project Execution Unit.

    Achievements

    Granting as of date of loans worth CFA 785 million Francs and 70% of this amount was effectively provided to women. Training of MINPROFF’s coordinators in monitoring-coordination of promoters of Income Generating sActivities. Equipment of the Maroua Appropriate Technologies Centre (CTA) with technological equipment
